Two of the newest collections at shu shu have nothing to do with toe boxes and purses,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
The first is a jewelry line by I Bijoux di Simonetta. The work features bold, chunky pieces made of resins, plexiglass, crystals and metals. Each item is unique and all are crafted in the Monte Napoleone district of Milan.
Closer to home are the amazing dresses of Toronto designer Carrie Hayes. Long before that volcano went and disrupted life in Iceland,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Carrie took a trip to photograph some of the glaciers.
She made composites of all her pictures -- the calcial deposits, geothermal pools, the sulphurs -- and had them printed on silk. The result is an interesting, icy take on spring and summer that you won't find anywhere else. Which is precisely the point.
