JON STEWART: John Oliver is to fill in for Jon Stewart when "The Daily Show" host takes a 3-month break from the New York show to direct his first film, Deadline reported.Stewart penned the script for "Rosewater,[url=http://www.christianelouboutinoutlet.com]Louboutin Outlet[/url]," which is based on the book "Then They Came For Me: A Family's Story of Love, Captivity and Survival" by Maziar Bahari.Bahari is the BBC journalist who left London in June 2009 to cover Iran's presidential elections for a week and instead spent 118 days in an Iranian prison being brutally interrogated, Deadline said.Oliver is to tape eight weeks worth of "Daily Show" episodes while Stewart is making the film, the website said.GEORGE CLOONEY: Hollywood actor-director George Clooney has started shooting "The Monuments Men" in Germany, Columbia Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox said Tuesday.The action-thriller is written by Clooney and his producing partner Grant Heslov. It is based on the book by Robert M. Edsel with Bret Witter. Clooney and Heslov are also producing the film through their Smokehouse Productions. The production is their first since winning the Academy Award for Best Picture last month for their work on "Argo."Starring Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban, Hugh Bonneville and John Goodman, "The Monuments Men" is based on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by President Franklin D. Roosevelt with going into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners, a synopsis said.Filming is to take place in Germany and the United Kingdom through the end of June. The movie is scheduled for North American release Dec. 18.ALISON PILL and JAY BARUCHEL: Canadian stars Alison Pill and Jay Baruchel have ended their two-year engagement and broken up, UsMagazine.com said. "Alone again, naturally. Heartbroken," Baruchel wrote in a Feb. 16 Twitter message he later deleted. "I won't be on twitter for awhile gang. Getting dumped rules."UsMagazine.com said it confirmed the breakup Monday, but the celebrity magazine did not report the reason for the split.Pill is a cast member of TV's "Newsroom."Baruchel appeared in the films "Tropic Thunder," "Million Dollar Baby," "Knocked Up" and "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," and lent his voice to the main character in the animated movie, "How to Train Your Dragon."'DEXTER:' The upcoming eighth season of the serial killer drama "Dexter" will be its last, CBS Corp. Chief Executive Officer Les Moonves told investors.The series, starring Michael C. Hall, airs on Showtime. Its final season is to premiere June 30.E! quoted Moonves as saying the producers and writers of "Dexter" have a "clear endgame in place; I just can't talk about it just yet. The decision of when to end 'Dexter' is ultimately a creative decision and will be made on creative reasons."
