The BSEE said a July 9 sheen associated with the incident measured about 4 miles wide by three quarters of a mile long.Talos said the light sheen had fully evaporated by Saturday and the incident was under control."We are pleased to report that the well control event has been successfully resolved without injury and with a very limited release of hydrocarbons, which we believe to be a small amount of natural gas and less than 10 barrels of light condensate over the course of the incident," Talos Energy President Tim Duncan said in a statement.Talos said it would work with the BSEE and the U.S. Coast Guard to seal off the well permanently using cement. The BSEE confirmed the well stopped flowing by Thursday after drilling fluids were injected.
