The once very active boy now has to be cautious with the amount of energy he exerts. Oswaldo is very close to his family,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and drew inspiration for his shoe from his Mexican heritage. 'Pollito,' which means little chicken,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], is Oswaldo's nickname. It's lasered in a feather pattern on the sockliner and also featured on the tongue. His favorite number, 17,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], is on the back heel. Oswaldo's birthday,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], September 13,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], is on the inside of the tongue. Finally, the red and green outsole pays homage to his hometown of Queretaro, Mexico."
The Air Jordan 9 "Doernbecher" will be available on Nov. 30 at select Nike Store locations and on their online store. All proceeds from the sales of the shoes will go to Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
