Little Apple's Comments on AAPL,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
Aids PatientThe biggest problems with the scratching are not due to any softness in the aluminum -- although that MAY be an issue also. But the problem involves the surface "coating" coming off of the aluminum. I think there has been some denting -- I am not sure if that is the metal or not. As far as my credentials -- they are in my profile above. I have done a lot of things -- but my work in Quality Control and Research are probably the credentials that you would be interested in for this article---I have a BS undergrad degree in Marketing where I did a lot of lab testing and product research. I worked for Texas Instruments as a Quality Control Inspector for Moss I in Dallas-- Silicon Chips. And I have seen companies go out of business because the quality was not there -- and products could not be passed due to defects like the ones on the iPhone 5 backs. And I have a friend that worked as a consultant for the owner of a very large sportswear manufacturer that was doing extremely well until they tried to cut corners and their main buyer (JCPenney) had implemented very strict Quality Controls -- which they could no longer pass-- and then went out of business. I also have a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) in Political Economics where I had numerous courses in economics and high level math and analysis and research. I was a research and teaching assistant for several "Ivy League Professors" -- all of whom have written books -- one based on my research about the stock market. I have done a lot more -- but basically I know how to research a story, and what will happen if the quality is not there. You do not have to take me seriously. This article was to let investors know what the situation is and then begin their own DD and make a decision based on their own situation.
Oct 8 05:40 PMWishYouWereHereI am glad that you got one of the ones that was not scratched! And the clear skin sounds like a good idea. I do know that they will have engineers working overtime to fix this! But customers are complaining because Apple is on top, and they expect a perfect phone -- just like another video said -- you expect new shoes to not be scuffed right out of the box -- especially from a name brand!!!As far as buying more right now-- there are plenty of bulls that are doing that -- and in the long run the shares will go back up. But just expect more downside first -- until this is fixed.
Oct 8 05:23 PMpj5632I do not think this story is made up. Look at the video -- and there are more where that one came from -- this is very real,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. And I usually do not recommend shorting any stock,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Maybe some phones have a "coating" that is mixed a little differently? I really do think they will figure it out in the end,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. But the sales will suffer until then due to a lack of supply.
Oct 8 05:11 PMbailinnumberguyAs the WSJ just said this afternoon -- this is great for "aggressive traders"like you! But not everyone is. First -- you are right: 3000 workers striking is not a big story. And when that story first broke late Friday afternoon,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I noticed that all of the articles were going back to ONE source. So I passed on it. But when it was updated -- and mentioned the quality problems (scratching), and another source (Foxconn itself) admitted that there were quality issues -- and the fact that these 3000 workers were from the line that produces the iPhone 5 backs -- because they could not find enough phones to pass that weren't scratched----I remembered the riot at another plant -- which produced the iPhone 5 backs. The irony of it is that most of the articles are focusing on the riot and the strike -- not the cause of them. The quality standards would be good news -- except according to the workers it is next to impossible to find backs that are not scratched already. Thus a slow down in production, and revenue. It is beautiful still.
Oct 8 04:58 PMebeuuI did that a couple of weeks ago. Then I got back in -- not to Apple though. I have not owned Apple for months. There are a lot of people going into cash -- like some readers have said this is traditionally a "low" time of the year -- especially for Tech stocks. The Wall Street Journal just quoted an analyst that said that Apple is showing a "head and shoulders" pattern which will take it down to $620- $621. But I think that if this problem is not corrected,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the stock will go lower because of the inability to produce enough revenue. Like I said in another comment this will not show up until the end of this quarter that we are in right now --- so probably January.
Oct 8 04:37 PMMinty-Fresh32This article had nothing to do with a "cool factor". This has to do with quality. But since you bring it up -- and I am NOT rolling my eyes-- Apple competitors are trying to take away the cool factor with the new ads. Like the young guy with his Samsung holding a place in line for his parents to get an iPhone (you assume),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Or the one that shows the guys touching phones to download a playlist-- and the (presumed Apple customers) asking when they will get that on their phones. I (as I said in another comment have an iPhone4,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. My daughter decided that due to the number of older adults having iPhones -- it is not cool any more. But I did not say that in this article,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. This article is about the scratching issue,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. And the fact that it is slowing down production which will slow down revenue.
Oct 8 04:22 PMdmharper1To each his own,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]! Most people will not agree with you,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. I have a 2001 Mustang in MINT condition,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Not one scratch,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. I also have an iPhone 4 that I have had for a year -- under tremendous abuse -- and not one scratch,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. You might buy the cheap one -- but only because it is cheaper than the good one that does not scratch. You WOULD not buy the expensive one that scratches like a cheap one with the plan of covering it up with a cover.相关的主题文章:
